27.
a.All societies shall be subject to examination by the commissioner in the same manner and subject to the same procedures as set forth in P.L.1993, c.236 (C.17:23-20 et seq.).
b.A summary of the report of the commissioner and the recommendations or statements of the commissioner as may accompany the report, shall be read at the first meeting of the board of directors or corresponding body of the society following their receipt, and if directed by the commissioner, shall also be read at the first meeting of the supreme governing body of the society following their receipt. A copy of the report, recommendations and statements of the commissioner shall be furnished by the society to each member of the board of directors or assembly. L.1997,c.322,s.27.
