Text

The commissioner may, after notice and opportunity for a hearing, order any financial institution to cease and desist from violations of this act. Any financial institution which fails to comply with an order of the commissioner shall be subject to a penalty not to exceed $500.00 for each violation. Any penalty imposed by the commissioner shall be enforced and collected pursuant to the penalty enforcement law (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.). L.1979, c. 193, s. 4, eff. Sept. 13, 1979.
