32.There is established in the Division of Criminal Justice in the Department of Law and Public Safety the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor. The Insurance Fraud Prosecutor shall be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate and be under the direction and supervision of the Attorney General. Any person appointed as Insurance Fraud Prosecutor shall have had prosecutorial experience, including experience in the litigation of civil and criminal cases. The Attorney General shall establish standards of performance for the Office of Insurance Fraud Prosecutor, which shall include standards of accountability. L.1998,c.21,s.32.
