A treasurer may be elected by a plurality of the votes cast by a congregation at its first business meeting for the election of trustees, or at any annual business meeting of the congregation, to serve until the next annual business meeting after his election. He shall be an ex-officio member of the board of trustees and shall: a. Have charge of moneys of the congregation which are contributed or paid to the board of trustees for congregational uses, and shall keep a correct account of the receipts and disbursements of the same, separate from his private account and under his official title as "treasurer" ; b. Render a statement in writing of the receipts and disbursements for the preceding year at each annual business meeting of the congregation, and from time to time render such other fi
