14A:4-4. Resignation of registered agent.

(1)The registered agent of a domestic corporation or a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in this State may resign by complying with the provisions of this section.
(2)The registered agent shall serve a notice of resignation by certified mail, return receipt requested, upon the president, or any vice president, or the secretary or treasurer of the corporation at the address last known to the agent, and shall make an affidavit of such service. The notice shall also advise the recipient of the requirements of subsection 14A:4-3(1). If such service cannot be made, the affidavit shall so state, and shall state briefly why such service cannot be made.
