Text

I.The municipal officers may determine that a revision of the municipal charter is necessary and, by order, submit the question of establishment of a commission to revise the charter to the voters, in the same manner as provided for the establishment of a charter commission under RSA 49-B:3; or
II.On the written petition of a number of voters equal to 20 percent of the number of ballots cast in the municipality at the last regular municipal election, but in no event fewer than 10 registered voters, the municipal officers shall, by order, submit the question of establishment of a commission to revise the charter to the voters as provided in this section. The petition shall read substantially as follows: "Each of the undersigned voters requests the municipal officers to submit to the voter
