§ 485:27 — Power to Require Improvements in Sewage Treatment
New Hampshire·Title L WATER MANAGEMENT AND PROTECTION·Ch. 485 NEW HAMPSHIRE SAFE DRINKING WATER ACT·Subdivision Water Pollution Control
The department is empowered to investigate the conditions and methods pertaining to existing systems of sewerage and sewage treatment works and to require the application of any treatment, improvement or enlargement of such facilities as will insure their proper operation and provide adequate protection of the public health. Issuance of orders requiring changes or improvements in such sewerage systems or treatment works shall be in the manner as prescribed in RSA 485:4.
