Text

If such debt remains unpaid for 90 days, the lienholder may sell such article at public sale; provided that the lienholder gives a 30-day written notice by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the owner of the article before such sale, and the proceeds, after first paying the expense of sale, shall be applied in payment of the debt, the balance, if any, to be paid over to the county treasurer of the county where the sale is held, in trust for the debtor.
