Text

The department of transportation shall have power, either through its members or duly authorized experts, to ride upon any locomotive or train of any railroad while in service for inspection purposes and to have, upon reasonable notice, a special locomotive and inspection car for a physical inspection once annually of all the lines and stations of each railroad in the state.
