Text

I. A physical therapist licensed under this chapter is fully authorized to practice physical therapy as defined herein. II. A physical therapist shall refer a patient or client to appropriate health care practitioners when:

(a)The physical therapist has reasonable cause to believe symptoms or conditions are present that require services beyond the scope of practice; or
(b)Physical therapy is contraindicated. III. A physical therapist shall adhere to the code of ethics established by the board in rules. IV. A physical therapist assistant licensed under this chapter is authorized to assist a licensed physical therapist in selected components of physical therapy intervention. V.
