I.The executive director of the office of professional licensure and certification shall be an unclassified employee of the state. The executive director shall be appointed by the governor, with the consent of the council, and shall serve for a term of 4 years. The executive director shall be qualified to hold that position by reason of professional competence, education, and experience. A vacancy shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment.

II.The executive director shall nominate for appointment by the governor and council the unclassified positions of director of the division of licensing and board administration and director of the division of enforcement. Each director shall be qualified for the position by reason of educati

Each inspector shall be qualified for the position by reason of education, competence, and experience and shall serve at the pleasure of the executive director.
IV. The executive director shall nominate for appointment by the governor and council the unclassified positions of chief legal officer and chief of staff. Each officer shall be qualified for the position by reason of education, competence, and experience and shall serve at the pleasure of the executive director.
V. The salaries of the executive director, each division director, chief legal officer, chief of staff, the chief pharmacy investigator, and each pharmacy investigator shall be as specified in RSA 94:1-a.
