§ 261:1 — When Certificate Required
New Hampshire·Title XXI MOTOR VEHICLES·Ch. 261 CERTIFICATES OF TITLE AND REGISTRATION OF VEHICLES·Subdivision Certificate of Title
Except as provided in RSA 261:3, the provisions of this chapter shall apply to all motor vehicles when a change of registration is required under the provisions of this chapter by reason of a sale for consideration. The department shall not require an application for a certificate of title upon the renewal of the registration, if required, of a vehicle. The department shall note on the face of the registration, if required, of each vehicle for which a certificate of title has been issued a statement to that effect.
