Text
I. Subject to the availability of money in the victims' assistance fund, the attorney general shall make grants for the establishment and maintenance of victim assistance programs. II. A victim assistance program is eligible to receive grants under this section if such program:
(a)Is within the office of a county attorney; or
(b)Is operated by a public agency or a private nonprofit organization or a combination of such agencies or organizations and provides services to victims of crime, and demonstrates:
(1)a record of providing effective services to victims of crime and financial support from sources other than the fund; or
(2)substantial financial support from sources other than the fund; or
(c)Is a program approved by the attorney general and provides services to victims of sexual
