Text
The department shall establish a kinship navigator program to offer information, referral, and follow up services to grandparents and other relatives raising children to link them to available services and benefits. The program also may be used to promote effective partnerships among public and private agencies to ensure that the needs of kinship caregiver families are met and to provide education and outreach to the community regarding kinship caregiver families. Any program established by the department shall meet the federal criteria for kinship navigator programs in 42 U.S.C. section 627.
