Text
In case of vacancy in the office of clerk of the senate or house of representatives, or of his absence or disability, the assistant clerk shall perform all the duties of the office, including the duties imposed upon the clerk by the provisions of this chapter. While an assistant clerk is performing the duties of clerk under this section, he shall be entitled to the compensation of the clerk.
