Text

I.The military staff of the governor shall consist of the adjutant general who shall be the chief of staff and 12 aides-de-camp. Four shall be detailed from the national guard and 4 others shall be appointed from the reserve components of the armed forces of the United States. The remaining 4 may be appointed from officers or former officers of the United States army, navy, marine corps, coast guard, space force or air force, or of the national guard or of the various officers' reserves components or from civilian life.
II.Officers detailed from the national guard shall retain their existing rank and shall remain subject to duty except as their services may be required by the governor as staff members. Officers or enlisted persons or former officers or enlisted persons appointed from the
