Text
(1)Except as otherwise provided in subsection
(2)of this section, no person acting on behalf of the Division of Behavioral
Health of the Department of Health and Human Services or the department shall
make expenditures not required by contract obligations entered into before
July 1, 2013, until the Gamblers Assistance Program created in section 9-1005
commences its duties.
(2)Any contract
between the State of Nebraska and a provider of problem gambling services
in existence on July 1, 2013, shall remain in full force and effect and is
binding and effective upon the parties to the contract until the contract
is terminated according to its terms or renegotiated by the commission.
(3)The Compulsive
Gamblers Assistance Fund shall not be subject to any nonstatutory expenditure
limitation
