authority to United States government inspectors. The commissioner may employ officers, agents, or assistants necessary to carry out this chapter, at a compensation to be fixed within the limits of legislative appropriations. The commissioner may grant to the inspectors of the United States department of agriculture the same authority as is possessed by agents of the commissioner.
