Text
A minor who is at least sixteen years of age may be employed or permitted to work in a
hazardous occupation if the minor is in a registered apprenticeship program or is a student
learner of an approved career and technical education program. Under this section, a parental
signature is required for the minor to participate as an apprentice or student learner. This
section does not limit the ability of a minor who is at least sixteen years of age to work in an
occupation already permitted by law.
