Text

Compensation. The department of transportation must be managed and directed by the director of the department of transportation, who must be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the governor. The director shall take the oath of office required of civil officers by section 44-01-05. The director shall receive compensation in the amount established by the governor within the limits of legislative appropriations.
