Text
Any political subdivision, department, or agency of the state, holding an interest of record in
any part of the right of way for any highway on the state highway system, shall upon application
of the director, cause such interest to be conveyed to the state of North Dakota for the use and
benefit of the department of transportation and no consideration for such conveyance may be
required. This section may not be construed to require that lands or interest therein held by
political subdivisions, departments, or agencies of the state, for other than highway purposes,
be conveyed to the state without full consideration.
