§ 21-06-02 — Payment of defaced or lost obligation
If any instrument which might be duplicated under the provisions of this chapter is due and
payable, the same may be paid by the state treasurer or the treasurer of the political
subdivision, as the case may be, without the issuance of a duplicate.
