Text

Penalty. Every motorboat propelled by a motor on the waters of this state must be numbered and licensed as prescribed in this chapter. No person may operate or give permission for the operation of any motorboat on such waters unless the motorboat is numbered and licensed in accordance with this chapter, with applicable federal law, or with a federally approved numbering system of another state, and unless:

1.The certificate of number awarded to such motorboat is in full force and effect.
2.The identifying number set forth in the certificate of number is displayed on each side of the bow of such motorboat. Any person who violates this section is guilty of a class 2 noncriminal offense.
