§ 50-79-303 — Penalty

Montana·Title 50 HEALTH AND SAFETY·Ch. 79 NUCLEAR REGULATION·Part 3 Disposal of Large Quantities of Radioactive Material
50-79-303 . Penalty. A person who knowingly or purposely disposes of large quantity radioactive material, byproduct material, or special nuclear material within Montana shall be fined an amount not more than $5,000 or be imprisoned for not more than two years, or both, for each offense. A person who negligently disposes of large quantity radioactive material, byproduct material, or special nuclear material within Montana shall be fined not more than $1,000 for each offense. In this part, each day of violation constitutes a separate offense.
