37-78-101 . (Effective January 1, 2026) Purpose. The legislature declares it to be a policy of this state that in order to help ensure the availability of services and protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of this state, it is a matter of public interest and concern that the health professions regulated by the board warrant and receive the confidence of the public and that only qualified persons be permitted to practice in each respective field from within or outside of the state and engage with clients located within the state.
