§ 40-6-412 — Custody Action -- Newborn's Best Interest
40-6-412 . Custody action -- newborn's best interest. In a custody action under 40-6-411 , the court shall determine custody of the newborn based on the newborn's best interest as provided in 40-4-212 . The court shall determine the newborn's best interest with the goal of achieving permanent placement for the newborn at the earliest possible date.
