33-6-103 . New benevolent associations prohibited -- foreign associations.
(1)A benevolent association may not transact or be authorized to transact any business in this state if the benevolent association did not have authority to transact business in this state immediately prior to January 1, 1961.
(2)A new benevolent association may not be organized or formed in this state on or after January 1, 1961.
(3)A benevolent association formed or existing under the laws of any other state or jurisdiction may not be authorized to transact business in this state.
