§ 35-4-110 — Application To Existing Corporations

35-4-110 . Application to existing corporations.

(1)This chapter applies to each professional corporation organized prior to October 1, 1983. If such a corporation is required to amend its corporate name or purposes to comply with this chapter, it shall deliver one duly executed original and one copy of articles of amendment or restated articles of incorporation containing such amendments to the secretary of state within 90 days after October 1, 1983.
(2)Any corporation that is not a professional corporation may become subject to this chapter by delivering to the secretary of state one duly executed original and one copy of articles of amendment or restated articles of incorporation stating that the corporation elects to become subject to this chapter and containing such amendments of it
