13-22-103 . Youth voting program established -- program coordination -- school participation.
(1)There is a youth voting program for minors to provide young Montanans direct experience in the voting process.
(2)The secretary of state, in consultation with the superintendent of public instruction, shall solicit county election administrators and schools throughout the state to participate in the youth voting program. The secretary of state and the superintendent of public instruction shall confer with the participating county election administrators and county superintendents of schools and, from among interested schools, shall facilitate the participation of as many schools in the program as available funds and other circumstances allow.
