2-18-1205 . Continuation of health insurance and employer contributions.
(1)During the period of unemployment as a result of privatization, reorganization of an agency, closure of or a reduction in force at an agency, or other actions by the legislature, the employee is entitled to remain covered by the state's group health insurance plan and to the continuation of the employer's contribution to the employee's group health insurance for 6 months from the effective date of layoff or until the employee becomes employed, whichever occurs first.
(2)For the purposes of this section, the term "agency" includes the Montana university system.
