20-15-202 . Petition for organization of community college district.
(1)When the area of a proposed community college district satisfies the specified requirements under 20-15-201 , the registered electors of the area may petition the board of county commissioners to call an election for the organization of a community college district. The petition must be signed by at least 20% of the registered electors within each county or a part of a county included in the area of the proposed community college district.
(2)When the area to be included within the proposed community college district lies in more than one county, the qualified electors of the proposed area shall present a petition to the board of county commissioners in each county. Each petition must contain the signatures of at lea
