§ 76-13-114 — Disposition Of Fines

76-13-114 . Disposition of fines. Fines collected in a court of the state under part 2 or this part, except those collected in a justice's court, must be transferred to the department of revenue for deposit in the state special revenue fund. When a person is convicted in any court of a violation of part 2 or this part, the court may levy and collect as costs in the case the amount necessary to compensate the county for the expenditures made in and for the prosecution of the offender. These costs when collected, except those collected in a justice's court, must be deposited by the court with the proper county treasurer for the benefit of the county.
