44-1-602 . Probationary training and service -- supervisory personnel. All newly appointed supervisory personnel shall be placed under probationary training and service for a period of 6 months to 1 year. If the chief fails to recommend a permanent appointment by the end of the probationary period, the probationary supervisory personnel will automatically revert to their previous ranks without prejudice.
