44-1-105 . Department of justice to furnish equipment. The department of justice shall furnish patrol officers with automobiles equipped and fitted with a distinctive siren and a particularly designated light for use at night. The department shall furnish all patrol officers with uniforms and equipment necessary for the performance of their respective duties, with the approval of the captain of their respective districts. Any such equipment and uniforms shall remain the property of the state of Montana.
