§ 23-1-101 — Purposes -- Definitions

23-1-101 . Purposes -- definitions.

(1)For the purposes of conserving the scenic, historic, archaeologic, scientific, and recreational resources of the state, providing for their use and enjoyment, and contributing to the cultural, recreational, and economic life of the people and their health, the department and board are vested with the duties and powers set forth in this part.
(2)For the purposes of this part, the following definitions apply:
(a)"Board" means the state parks and recreation board established in 2-15-3406 .
(b)"Commission" means the fish and wildlife commission established in 2-15-3402 .
(c)"Department" means the department of fish, wildlife, and parks established in 2-15-3401 .
(d)"Director" means the director of fish, wildlife, and parks as provided in 2-15-3401 .
