Text

1.  As used in sections 701.500 to 701.515 , the following terms shall mean:

(1)"Department" , the department of economic development;
(2)"Director" , the director of the department of economic development;
(3)"Energy Star program" , a joint program of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Energy that identifies and promotes energy efficient products and practices. 2.  The provisions of sections 701.500 to 701.515 shall apply to appliances that do not have minimum energy efficiency standards required under federal law. 3.  No person shall sell, offer for sale, or install any new product listed in subsection 2 of this section in the state unless the product meets the minimum energy efficiency standards under sections 701.500 to 701.515
