Text

Upon request of a physician, health care facility or third-party insurer, the department may provide laboratory services for tests related to contagious or infectious diseases.  The department may conduct laboratory testing of blood specimens for lead content on behalf of a physician, hospital, clinic, free clinic, municipality or private organization which cannot secure or provide such services through other sources.  The department of health and senior services may charge a fee for laboratory services rendered pursuant to this section.  Fees for tests related to contagious or infectious diseases shall be deposited in a separate account in the Missouri public health services fund, created in section 192.900 , and funds in such account shall be used to provide laboratory testing services b
