Text

1.  The director shall appoint a person who has had at the time of the appointment not less than ten years' experience in the construction, installation, inspection, operation, maintenance or repair of high pressure boilers and pressure vessels as a mechanical engineer, steam operating engineer, boilermaker, or boiler inspector, and who shall have passed the same kind of examination as that prescribed under section 650.250 , to be chief inspector.  The chief inspector may be removed for cause after due investigation by the board and its recommendation to the director. 2.  The chief inspector, if authorized by the director, is hereby charged, directed and empowered:

(1)To take action necessary to the enforcement of the laws of the state governing the use of boilers and pressure vessels
