Whenever the members of any corporation heretofore or hereafter incorporated under the laws of this state for any benevolent purpose, or whenever the persons who were or shall be at the time of the dissolution of any such corporation members thereof, or in case of the death of any of them, the survivors shall, themselves, or with other associates, become incorporated under the provisions of this chapter for the same benevolent purpose, under the same or any other corporate name, it shall be lawful and it shall be the duty of the person who may be the president of such former corporation, or who was or may be its president at the time of its dissolution, to execute and acknowledge in the name and on behalf of such former corporations, a conveyance of all the property, real and personal, and
