1.Any nursing home administrator possessing a current license to practice as a nursing home administrator in this state may place such license on inactive status by filing a written signed request for inactive status with the board, accompanied by evidence satisfactory to the board of completion of ten clock hours of continuing education in the area of patient care and a fee as provided by rule made payable to the department of health and senior services.  This request may also be accomplished by signing the request for inactive status that appears on the nursing home administrator's application for license renewal and returning such application to the board prior to June thirtieth of the year of renewal of the administrator's active license, accompanied by evidence satisfactory to the b
