Text

1.When used in or about mines other than coal mines, explosives and detonators shall be stored in separate surface magazines reasonably bulletproof and adequately constructed of incombustible material, with no metal exposed inside the magazine and equipped with doors constructed of three-eighths inch steel plate lined with a two-inch thickness of wood, or the equivalent.  Such magazines shall be provided with no opening except for entrance and ventilation, shall be kept locked securely when unattended, and shall be provided with suitable warning signs.  The location of permanently constructed surface magazines shall be not less than two hundred feet from any mine opening, unless effectively barricaded.
