Commodity associations incorporated under the provisions of this chapter may act as trustee, and as such, or in its own right, may own and vote stock in corporations owning and operating elevators, warehouses, storage houses, factories, mills, and plants for the purpose of storing, treating, processing, or marketing the commodity in the production and marketing of which the members of such association are engaged.
