Text

1.The board of trustees of any river basin conservancy district may issue general obligation bonds for and on behalf of the district for the purpose of providing funds to carry out the official plan or plans of the district.  The bonds shall not exceed, including existing indebtedness of the district, an amount equal to five percent of the assessed valuation of taxable tangible property in the district, to be ascertained by the last completed assessment for state and county purposes made previous to the incurring of the indebtedness.  The bonds shall be issued in the denomination of one hundred dollars each, or some multiple thereof, to bear interest at a rate not exceeding six percent per annum, payable semiannually, and to become due and payable at the times the board of trustees deter
