Whenever it is necessary for the purposes of a district to take or damage any cemetery, the district shall appraise the cost of such taking or easement in the same manner as appraisals are made for other property. The board of trustees in the case of the removal of a cemetery may agree for such removal with the persons or authorities owning or controlling the cemetery; and in case of agreement, the board of trustees may purchase the necessary land, and remove or contract for the removal of those buried, together with all monuments. They may also contract for an easement therein if removal is not desired. In case condemnation proceedings are necessary, they shall be instituted and conducted under the provisions therefor in this chapter. Compensation granted for taking any cemetery shall
