Text

1.Candidates for election to the board of trustees shall file their declarations of candidacy with the secretary of the board of trustees or in the case of the first election, the filing shall be in like manner with the secretary of the election authority.  The declaration of candidacy shall set forth the candidate's qualifications as provided herein.
2.The ballots shall not designate the candidates' parties.
3.At least a majority of the then qualified members of the board of trustees or of the election district commission, as the case might be, shall jointly tabulate the results received and shall certify the candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for the respective terms of office and until their successors have been elected and qualified.  In the case of the election
