Text
1.It shall be the duty of the board of trustees to make the necessary surveys, and to map out and define the several natural drainage areas in the district, and to lay out a general plan for the drainage thereof; besides the main outlet or outlets, the plan shall embrace branches or submains, necessary for a complete system of principal drains for the entire district. Branch or submains to be paid for out of the general revenue of the district shall not be extended beyond the point at which they will receive the drainage of an area of less than eight hundred acres. Outlets and the larger branches or submains may be open channels, whose general course shall be followed by intercepting sewers, to collect and convey sewage or polluted drainage.
