Text

1.The commissioners of such districts so incorporated shall have power to issue road and bridge bonds for and on behalf of their respective districts, payable out of funds derived from taxation of all property taxable therein to an amount including existing indebtedness payable out of funds so derived not exceeding five percent of the assessed valuation of such property to be ascertained by the assessment next before the last assessment for state and county purposes.  Such bonds to be issued in denominations of one hundred dollars, or some multiple thereof, to bear interest at not exceeding the rate per annum permitted by law, and to become due in not exceeding twenty years after the date of such bonds.  Whenever the board of commissioners of any such road district propose to issue such
