Text

1.The county treasurer may be the treasurer of the special road district board unless another person is appointed by the board of commissioners.  The board shall fix the amount of the treasurer's bond and prescribe the treasurer's duties.  The bond shall be filed in the office of the clerk of the county commission.  If the county treasurer is acting as the treasurer of the road district, the county treasurer's bond pursuant to section 54.070 shall cover the treasurer's duties as road district treasurer and no additional bond shall be required.
2.The board may issue check warrants on the treasurer of the board in payment of the expenses and obligations which the board is authorized to incur on behalf of such special road district and such check warrants may be issued in anticipation of
