Text

Whenever any bonds of any school district are redeemed or paid off, the bonds shall be burned or shredded in the presence of two members of the school board and two other credible persons as witnesses of the fact.  The secretary or clerk of the board shall record in the books of the district a description of the bonds so destroyed by noting the date when issued and when due, and the number and amount of each of the bonds, and the names of the members of the board and of the witnesses who are present at the burning of the bonds.
