Text

1.Any spouse of a deceased member of the patrol who retired prior to October 1, 1984, shall, upon application, be made, constituted, appointed, and employed by the board as a special consultant on the problems of retirement, aging, and other matters relating to spouses of deceased members of the patrol, and upon the request of the board, shall give opinions and be available to give opinions, in writing or orally, in response to such requests of the board.  As compensation for the services required by this section, spouses of deceased members of the patrol shall be compensated monthly in an amount based on the monthly amount which the member would have been receiving had the selection of options been made on the date of the spouse's application to be made a consultant under the provisions
